I graduated from Yale University in 1989 with a degree in Psychology. I received my M.Ed. from the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. My area of specialization was individual adult psychotherapy.
My practice experience includes working with inpatients at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and working at community mental health centers in Philadelphia, Urbana-Champaign, and Washington, DC. I have worked in university-based counseling centers at the University of Illinois, Georgetown University, Temple University, and Penn State University.
I have extensive experience providing therapy for individuals and for couples. My areas of specialization include anxiety, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, interpersonal problems, relationship problems, grief and loss issues, self-esteem issues, adult Attention Deficit Disorder, and problems that stem from growing up with family dysfunction. I am a certified trauma therapist.
